About

About Me

I am 27, a full-time student at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, majoring in Photography. When I don’t have my face attached to my camera I like to knit, read and hang out with my two very awesome kids.

What I Shoot:

Portraits, Family and children, Concert and Band Promos, Events and Weddings, Engagement and Trash the Dress, Senior, Newborn, Maternity and other for-hire photographic endeavors. I love most forms of photography and will try anything (well, almost…I’ve gotten some interesting emails from Craig’s List…) at least once!

Booking a Shoot With Me

TFCD or TFP: I am currently working creatively on a time-for-images basis to build my art portfolio. Simply fill out the contact form below and we will set something up. I am looking to shoot models (male or female) who want some interesting unconventional portraits for their portfolio. When booking a shoot, bear in mind the best shooting times are in the morning and after high-noon (when the sun is not directly overhead) for outdoor shoots. For studio shoots times will be worked out according to your schedule and mine.

I do “casting calls” to build my portfolio every so often which means free session for you if you are what I am looking for, so keep in touch and follow my blog for updates!

Rates, Prints and Usage

Check out the Rates page to get information on my packages for your session. If you need or want more prints you may order them from my low cost client price list. You may order prints at any time up to ONE YEAR after your shoot.

For TFCD/P shoots (email me to see if you’d fall into that category!) I will make each model three 8×10 prints of their choice free of charge for helping me gain portfolio images. Any prints after that are available for very low cost from my client price list I will include in your packet. Models will also get their images on a high-res disc to use as they please. Web sized images will either have a faint, unobtrusive watermark on them with my logo or I will leave off the watermark but ask you to sign a contract promising to link back to this website on whatever webpage it is used on. I will likewise link back to your website when posting your photos on this site or on Flickr.com

See Legal info for copyright mumbo jumbo.

Location and Wardrobe

For location, we can shoot anywhere we can get to! Parks, beaches, fields, cities, boardwalks, apple orchards…anywhere that strikes your fancy and won’t call the police if I enter with a camera! Indoor shoots are just as do-able…want photos of you in your ultra-chic apartment? No problem! Just tell me your ideas and I will do my best to make them happen.

When it comes to wardrobe, simple is often best. Busy patterns and large logos can distract the eye and unless you want the focus to be on what you’re wearing (and that’s OK too) simpler is usually the way to go. For family portraits, similar colors produce the best results. Feel free to bring an extra outfit or two for added variety in your final shots.

Payment

For additional prints or for-hire shoots you may pay in cash, check made out to Pamela Helme, or paypal upon request (I will invoice you, just ask!). You will get an invoice for your records with your prints and prints can be ordered up to one year after our session. If your image disc is mailed I will include a delivery confirmation and you have three business days to get the payment in the mail or to me.

Word of Mouth

Send a client my way and I will happily give you something in return. These somethings will vary depending on what stage of my business I am in and the referred client’s needs. (Portrait sessions may be something like a free print or discount while weddings could be a free session!)
